Our Funding Opportunities

John Muir Health believes that it is our responsibility to help create healthy communities by providing financial support to non-profit organizations for programming, events, and activities that align with our mission. John Muir Health upholds our community commitment by making its community benefit contributions through three avenues: Grant Opportunities, John Muir/Mt. Diablo Community Health Fund, and Community Event Sponsorships.  

Grant Opportunities

John Muir Health financially supports our Community Benefit program partners with 3-year grants.

  • To qualify for grant funding, organizations must be a registered 501c3 and provide services in Northern Alameda County, Contra Costa County or the Tri-Valley area. 
  • All programs must meet an identified community need, in alignment with our triennial Community Health Needs Assessment. 
  • Grant-making opportunities are by invite only. 
  • To engage with John Muir Health as a non-profit partner organization via grant support, we encourage you to reach out to community.benefit@johnmuirhealth.com to explore partnership opportunities.
Community Health Fund

The John Muir/Mt. Diablo Community Health Fund (CHF) is a separately incorporated supporting organization to John Muir Health. Aligned with John Muir Health’s Community Health Needs Assessment, CHF provides grants to support non-profit organizations in Contra Costa County.
